About Us
The Pathway Education Centre (Pupil Referral Unit - North) is a specialist centre for young people who may have experienced difficulties with their social and emotional mental health. Not all young people are ready to access the classroom, equally, not all classrooms are ready for their young people.

At the Pathway Centre, specialist staff deliver a differentiated curriculum following an ethos and approach that is built on the attachments that young people form with the key adults in their lives.

Unconditional positive regard is integral to forming trusting, positive relationships with young people. This concept supported by a positive behaviour approach and restorative justice process, guides our approach to providing a safe, secure and alternative approach to education where all learners have the potential to thrive and make progress.

Pathways Education Centre (Newtown PRU) is always evolving as the needs of the pupils, their families and the locals schools and Authority change. You can rest assured that, whilst working with Pathways Education Centre (Newtown PRU) your child will enjoy education and feel safe. Your Child will begin to access education again and reignite their desire to succeed.
